Affable Electrical Advertising Proposal
An advertising campaign of images for a company called Affable Electrical.  The company concentrates on electrical and mechanicalinstallations.

The reason for anadvertising campaign is to promote Affable Electrical to enable business growthand increase local market share. Animportant feature of this campaign is to improve the company’s profile byre-enforcing its name and image to its target client group. Their preferred target customers are thelocal small to medium building contractors such as Beards, Wilkinsons and CramptonLeighfield. The local area in thisinstance would be along the M4 corridor between Bristoland Reading.

The company currentlyoffers a wide range of installations from the simple household to data,electrical and mechanical installations for industry. Although not unique, a key selling point for AffableElectrical is how they have reacted to a problem encountered by their customerbase. This problem has been acommunication and workflow problem between separate electrical and mechanicalinstallation firms. To counter this, AffableElectrical have created a mechanical company, Affable Electrical Mechanical, bybringing in the required expertise. Thisis what we identified as being Affable Electrical’s USP. Each company has its own distinct colour andlogo, though the logos do share a visual link. We see the use of these colours and logos as an essential element thatwill evoke connotations of teamwork, togetherness, control and efficiency.

The company are veryinto football, sponsoring a few local teams. Our ideas are to use images with a sporting context that will signify thetwo sides working together for their client, ‘Two colours – One Team’.

Their preferredadvertising vehicle would be current trade publications such as ConstructionNews and Construction Magazine. Thesewould usually be quarter or an eighth of a page.

Their main competitorsare Roberts and Prowse, Renalec and Southern Electric.

There are a number ofkeywords and phrases that describe how Affable Electrical aim to be perceived;Efficient, Quality, Trustworthy, Reliable, Professional, Approachable,Dependable and Flexible.
